WATCH out Ferrari – Pagani is developing a replacement for the Zonda! Caught testing in Italy, our spy photographers shot this prototype putting its new engine, advanced aerodynamics and totally fresh chassis through their paces. Dubbed C9, the newcomer gets a modified body, which features a new front end, redesigned rear quarter panels to allow for larger air inlets, a redesigned rear diffuser and a totally new air scoop that sticks up from the middle of the engine cover. Underneath lies a carbon-titanium chassis and forged aluminum alloy suspension components. Conceived as a totally new car in terms of weight distribution, materials and dynamics, according to company boss Horacio Pagani, the C9 is powered by an all-new engine too. Rumormill: Lamborghini LP570-4 SV headed to Geneva
Autoblog:
According to the Lamborghini lovers at the Teamspeed Forums, there's a new, even higher-performance version of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 on the way to the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. No surprise, really, as the Gallardo's successor isn't expected until 2012 or so, and Lambo is always working on improving the breed.
Gemballa-tuned Enzo MIG-UI waiting for The Empire to strike back again
The black and white menace you see above was created for Gemballa's Middle East distributor, the Illyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, using Mustafa's personal Enzo as the subject. The roof scoop, jet-thruster-surrounds for the exhaust, and black rims are Gemballa hallmarks, on top of which the nose has been slightly sculpted and the hood sports a central scoop.
LA 2009: Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder proves the devil is in the details
Autoblog:
Where to even start? Oh right – that interior! With the possible exception of a couple of British-ish cars (BMW-owned Rolls-Royce Phantom, Volkswagen-owned Bentley Mulsanne, Tata-owned Jaguar XJ), no interior even comes close. And frankly, being honest, those luxo-barges just pale in comparison to the blinged out old-world splendor of a Spyker cockpit. And the C8 Aileron Spyder ups that already pricey ante. And get this – all C8's are now built in Coventry, England, shaving about $9,000 off the asking price, which is somewhere south of $200,000 depending on baubles options.
Wiesmann's made an all-out drop-top assault in 2009, beginning with the 367-hp V8-powered MF4 Roadster unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. As reported earlier, the retrotastic automaker hailing from Dulmen, Germany is bringing another open-aired creation to the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it's finally released a teaser shot to whet our appetites ahead of the big day. Powered by the BMW M5/M6-derived V10, Weismann says the 507-hp MF5 Roadster hits the magic 60 MPH mark in 3.9 seconds – the same as its fixed roof sibling – and can blast to a top speed of 192 mph. Aside from the cloth roof, the body remains unchanged and all the standard equipment carries over to the Roadster, including the dual airbags, ABS and stability control. Pricing is expected to crest the $250,000 mark, but with Weismann only planning to produce 55 examples, we have little doubt they'll find their way into enthusiastic collector's garages. Make the jump for the official release.
